Reading for Meaning

This will be tested in your final exam in June of Year 13.  You will need to answer two sections: Unseen texts which will test AO4 and wider reading which will examine AO5ii

As this unit does examine wider reading so candidates who have not read widely about War in Literature with special focus on WWI will be seriously disadvantaged.
 

The weighting of assessment units for this module is:

A01 : Write fluently and coherently, following a clear argument. (9%) 

A02ii :   (7%)

A03 : Comment on the writer’s use of language and structure and form,  how it shapes meaning and its effect on the reader. (8%)

A04 :   Be able to give alternative interpretations of the novel, and support them with evidence from the text. (7%)

AO5ii: (9%)
