Exam Preparation

The aim of these pages is to equip you with the skills necessary for you to reach your potential in English.  Within each of the three sections- Paper 1, Paper 2 and Literature there are two sections for you to choose from:

Top tips and reminders of the skills you have learnt in class

Examples of question papers to test your skills

In the exams it is important to remember to plan your response to questions- time will be spent in English lessons showing you how best to do this.  Planned responses always score higher marks as your writing will be more structured.  Once you start writing your answer remember to look back at your plan- you wrote it so follow it!

At the end of the exam try to take a few minutes to read over your work and make sure your answers make sense.  Again time will be given in English lessons to ensuring you understand what information you should include in your answers in each of the different sections.
