Coursework These pages will give you some guidance to help you complete each of the 6 pieces of coursework you will need to write in year one of the course. Ideally your class will complete one piece of coursework per half term so that the second year of the course is free to prepare for the exams. For four of the pieces of coursework you must answer essay preparation questions before using a writing frame to complete your coursework essay. These can be found on the school's shared area in the folder labelled English The other two pieces- Media in English and Original Writing- will require you to write more freely although guidance is still given. As you complete each piece of coursework you must remember to save you work in your English folder even if you have already printed out a copy for your teacher. It is also important to have your work checked regularly by your teacher so that they can suggest any improvements or extension tasks which may be suitable for you. Lastly, remember to use the spell check facility if your have typed your coursework to avoid any unnecessary spelling mistakes. Similarly if you have handwritten your work please double check it for spelling and punctuation mistakes.
