Week one
Research
Shakespearean theatre; create a fact sheet on the Globe theatre.
Week two
Write a letter to
the owner of a theatre company, persuading them to let you audition for the
forthcoming play (the one you have created). You will need to tell them
about your previous experience, what talents you have and why you would be
ideal for a part.
Week three
Using your
drawings of your costumes or props as an idea, you should create one of
these. You could sew, make a model, a mask, paper mache... anything
creative!
Week four
Prepare a
prologue for your play. A brief introduction of what happens in the plot
that will help the audience know what to expect from the play.
Week five
You have just
been part of your first performance; write a letter home to your parents
telling them of your experiences.
Week six
You are a play
critic. Write a review of your play, considering how effectively the
characters, plot and scenes were presented.
