Week One
Write a description of one of your group’s characters as it would appear in
a play.
If you can, try to choose a different character from the other members of
your group.
Week Two
Write a character description of yourself or a close friend. Use the same
writing style looked at in class.
OR
Write a setting description for your favourite place- it can be a real place
or make believe. Use the same writing style looked at in class.
Week Three
Find an image which looks like your character- this can be a photo, magazine
cutting or a drawing. Write a 100 word explanation of why you chose this
picture- what do you think it shows about your character?
Week Four
Design a poster promoting your play. Include the following:

Writer’s name

Title of the play
-
Pictures of main events in the play
-
Comments made by people who have seen it
-
Where it is on
You could also add (if you have space)

The actors who are in it
-
What it is about
Week Five
Write a press release for your play. It should be a summary of what happens
with some extra comments about why people should pay to go and see it. It
should be about 250 words long.
Week Six
Write an explanation of which performance you enjoyed most- what was good
about it and what could be improved. This should be at least 300 words
long.
Week Seven
Write your top ten tips on how to survive writing this project for next
year’s Year 7 students. Think about any problems you had and how they were
solved, as well as how well you organised your time.
